Our office is located on York Place, along from the Edinburgh Trams terminus and less than five minutes walk from Edinburgh bus station.

Bus

Lothian Bus services that stop near the office are 1, 8, 11, 16, 19, 22, 25, 26 and 34.

If you are travelling towards the city centre the closest bus stops are located on Broughton Street, Omni Centre and York Place.

If you are travelling away from the city centre the closest bus stops are again Broughton Street, Omni Centre or York Place.

Tram

Any trams heading to the city centre will drop you off near the office.

The closest tram stop is at the terminus on York Place. Then walk 0.1 mile along York place in the direction of the West End. Cross over at the bus station (you will see the back of Edinburgh Bus Station) and continue to walk along until you arrive at number 9.

Train

Waverley train station is located around 0.4 miles from 9 York Place. It’s less than ten minutes to walk as shown on the map below.

• Head for the Waverley Steps as you head out of the train station
• Once at the top of the Waverley Steps, turn left onto Princess Street
• Cross to the other side of Princes Street at the traffic lights outside Waverley Mall
• Turn right on South St Andrew’s Street
• Continue straight on through St Andrew’s Square
• Continue onto North St Andrew’s Street
• At the bottom of the road, turn Right onto York Place
• PDSO’s building is a few doors along.

Car

There are car parks available roughly five minutes from the office at:

• Greenside Place – located at 28 Greenside Row at the Omni Centre
• Q Park OMNI at Greenside Row.

Bike

There are no facilities for bike parking outside PDSO Edinburgh.

There is street level access to the main entrance of our office. There are four steps leading up to the external front door and as you enter the door there is one further step.

The front door opens to a vestibule and an internal locked door.

Press the buzzer to let staff know you are there.

Reception staff will greet you by speaking to you through the door intercom system.

If you have an appointment to see a solicitor, staff will let you in and direct you into the Reception waiting area, which is situated on the ground floor immediately inside the front internal door.

Please note that we cannot always admit visitors who do not have a pre-arranged appointment.

Assistance dogs are welcome in our office. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to make any special arrangements to help accommodate them. We can arrange to have a bowl of water available for them.
