People with limited mobility may find this office difficult to access â please contact us and we will arrange an accessible location for a meeting if required.
Our office is located in Ayr town centre on the left hand side of Wellington Square as you look at the Ayr Sheriff Court building. You can view our office and get directions on the map above.
There is no disabled access to the building. Anyone with mobility issues should inform us of this when they are speaking to a member of staff.
Alternative arrangements can be made and we will be happy to accommodate this.
Information if you are getting to PDSO Ayr by bus, train, car and bike.
There is no direct bus service to our office. The nearest bus stop is at the Stagecoach bus station in Sandgate, Ayr. From there head southwest towards Ayr Sheriff Court in Wellington Square. Our office is on the left hand side of the gardens as you walk towards the Court.
Ayr train station is around half a mile from our office. From the station you should walk south on Smith Street towards Burns Statue Square then turn right onto Burns Statue Square and slight left onto Dalblair Road. At the roundabout, take the first exit and stay on Dalblair Road then slight left to stay on Dalblair Road. At the next roundabout you should, take the first exit onto Barns Street and continue on to Wellington Square.
We have no dedicated parking spaces available however on street parking is available adjacent to our office and on the streets around Wellington Square. The majority of this parking is Pay and Display, restricted to a maximum of three hours.
There are no bike racks situated outside the office.
To gain entry to our office you should use the intercom located at the front door to speak to a member of staff.
Please note that we cannot always admit visitors who do not have a pre-arranged appointment.
All visitors must report to Reception. There are eight stairs from the street level to the main door for the Reception desk. The stairs have handrails at both sides.
There are no accessible toilets available to visitors.
Assistance dogs are welcome in our office. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to make any special arrangements to help accommodate them. We will have a bowl of water available for them.
Portable induction loops are available on request. Hearing aid users must turn their hearing aid to the âTâ position to use the induction loops.
